Matalco Inc. is committed to utilizing the most environmentally-sound manufacturing processes available, employing only modern equipment and technology. Key to Matalco's production process is the filtering and recycling of water, avoiding contamination of the surrounding water table. Matalco’s furnaces are so efficient that virtually no waste is produced. The excess furnace heat is captured and recycled. Controls are in place to ensure that air emissions are maintained below governmental reporting thresholds. The normal byproduct of a remelt process, the dross, is recycled in-house. What remains is salt cake, which is sold to other recyclers to be processed for reuse.

Matalco has achieved ISO 9001:2008 Certification for its quality processes and ISO 14001:2004 Certification for environmental assurance. Matalco is determined to maintain its stringent environmental standards today and well into the future.

Matalco operates a fleet of over 200 specialized trailers for all your scrap and billet needs. We operate one of the most modern and light-weight scrap hauling fleets in the business. Matalco is continuously updating our equipment to lighter weight aluminum – allowing us to help reduce road congestion and minimize our carbon footprint, while at the same time supporting the aluminum industry.
